What is a Bike Bus?
A “Bike Bus” is more like a parade or a rolling party than a bus. Kids and parents ride their bikes to school together along a pre-planned route, picking up families along the way. With a little music and a lot of smiles, kids relish the freedom and fun of a weekly ride together. It’s simply the best way to start the school day.

When and where do we meet?
Frank Hobbs Bike Bus rolls on Fridays*! To participate, assemble between 8:15-8:25 at the south end of Dawe Rd, where we’ll depart at 8:25 sharp. If you’d rather join along the way, we will pick up participants at Gyro Park (bottom of Penrhyn St) at ~8:28 and at the north end of Maynard Park at ~8:32.
*When a Professional Development (Pro-D) day falls on a Friday, Frank Hobbs Bike Bus rolls on Thursday!

How do I participate?
We want YOU to join our bike bus! Kids and parents can both ride in the Bike Bus (and are encouraged to do so)! If your child can cycle independently at about 10 km/h, they can participate on their own bike. If kids are riding on the back of an adult’s bike that’s great, too.
